How fortunate I was to live in a world of such diversity and creative expression. Sometimes I feel like I've taken too much. That I don't deserve all the truly wonderful experiences I've had, not that I don't deserve them, but so thankful that I would trade them all in if it meant another could have them to learn from. In a world filled with kindness and beauty it is our own choice as to what experiences we take with us from this place we call home. So lucky to have 7 billion others and a countless abundance of creatures to observe and learn from, all expressing themselves in an eternal state harmony.

It is through the creative expression of humanity that truly sets our hearts into motion. Luckily for me I was encouraged to express that creativity through big fat crayons, and magic markers. Over the years, one begins to realize that everything in our lives is filled with some level of creativity: our homes, our cities, our clothing, music, even language are all expressions of humanities creative nature. How amazing that no matter where you go in the world through all these differences a smile is universal. It is this external reaction to an inner state which brings us together as one family.

During my time in Kenya I learned to look past our differences and focus upon our likenesses. To look into someone's eyes and see the same reflection or share a smile or sense of accomplishment gave me the feeling that we were together working to accomplish the same goal; helping each other on our life journey. We were there for each other. It was this feeling that encouraged me to try to share what so many worked to give me: education and a creative outlet that would eventually lead me here. I hoped by devoting my energies to education and a creative learning process, kids whom may never get those chances may one day take that opportunity and experience all the wonders that life has to offer. It has truly become the essence of the arts.
