We are hosting a Rahr West Art Museum to Rahr School Forest ride on June 13th stating at 8 AM. Cooperating organizations the Rahr West Art Museum, Manitowoc Public School District, Manitowoc Noon Optimists, Manitowoc Police Department, and the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA Get your R2R Bike Ride Map Here! Activities for the day include a bike rodeo, a bike safety presentation, licensing of bikes and helmet check, a bike ride from the museum to the school forest and back, the unveiling of the sculpture/ bike rack "Late for a Date" created by Paul Kaufman and Craig Fraunfelder. See the Sculpture in Progress Here Volunteers will be at the Rahr West Art Museum, Lighthouse Inn on Mariners Trail, and the Rahr School Forest. The ride is 34 miles round trip and will take riders through neighborhoods in Manitowoc and Two Rivers, along the Lake Michigan shoreline, through Point Beach State Forest and to the Manitowoc Rahr School Forest. The bike ride will be at each riders own pace and the distance traveled will be left up to the riders.
