Spoons by Lincoln High School Art Student	Youth Art Month - Manitowoc Public Schools March 1st to March 22nd 2009 Work by elementary and secondary students is displayed in the Ruth & John West Galleries Youth Art - St. Francis Catholic School March 29th to April 12th, 2009 Youth art continues with a showcase of work by students in the elementary and middle school system for St. Francis Catholic Schools (MACS). Youth Art - Olympian Conference April 19th to May 3rd, 2009 This exhibition of high school student work includeds a highly selective number of artworks from area schools; Brillion, Chilton, Hilbert, Lutheran High, Mishicot, Reedsville, Roncalli, Valders, and Wrightstown.

From the Director regarding Aaron Dirkman One of the truly great things about teaching for 21 years was interacting with spectacular students like Mr. Aaron Dirkman. The eldest of a family of Dirkmans, this young man and I had the pleasure of working together when he was a student in the Manitowoc Public School District. Aaron came visiting several months ago to bring me up to date on what he has been doing for nearly a decade and I was quite impressed. Aaron has embarked on a project that is changing lives in another part of the world! I invite you to read his story and come to the Rahr West Art Museum to see his work; April 19th to May 24th.
